Ladies 2nd XI

Captain: Liz Gowers
League: Hants Div 3
About:

The City of Portsmouth 2nd Team is a competitive team with a very sociable and friendly atmosphere. After being relegated to Hampshire Division 3 last year we are looking to stay at the top of the table and push for promotion. Stick and Ball training happens on a Tuesday night at Whale Island, I encourage everyone to train as much as possible throughout the season to make a stronger team bond and keep the fitness levels up.

Match Reports

City of Portsmouth 2s: 0 - Aldershot and Farnham 2s: 6

Date: 13/10/2010 Away - League

Portsmouth ladies 2nd team travelled to Aldsershot with only 10 players and put in a good performance however came away with scant reward as they lack of a full team finally showed. Despite this Emily Crowcroft put in a great performance and the whole team were praised by the opposition and umpires for making it such a good and competitive game. Captain Liz Gowers should her striker prowess by scoring a superb goal, unfortunately into the roof of the wrong net - earning her the much vaunted muff of the match award.
